Susanne Hall

Susanne Hall is a Melbourne-based psychologist with a background in primary school teaching. This unique combination gives her a deep understanding of both educational and emotional development, which she integrates into her work with clients.

Susanne’s work gives her a strong understanding of the impact that modern life pressures can have on mental health and wellbeing. She is dedicated to helping individuals lead more meaningful lives by reducing stress and fostering stronger connections with nature and community.

A recent addition to Susanne’s team is her therapy dog, Reno. Following her qualification in animal assisted therapy, Susanne incorporates Reno into her practice to enhance engagement, reduce anxiety and support emotional growth.

As an author, Susanne aims to reach a wider audience, raising awareness about the effects of technology, high-density living, and disconnection from the natural world. She believes that people themselves are not the problem, but rather the pace and structure of modern life. Her work encourages a return to balance, reminding us that humans are inherently part of nature and deeply connected to animals.

Meet Reno

Reno, my therapy dog, plays a special role in my practice and is the inspiration behind my book. Dogs naturally embody the five healthy habits — they move their bodies, rest when they need to, eat well, connect with their pack, and love spending time outdoors. Reno reminds us that all we need to do is be more like a dog… and feel good.
